The Evergreen Symphony Orchestra invites applications from outstanding musicians for the following FULL-TIME positions:
Principal Cello 1 position
1st Violin Tutti 2 position
2nd Violin Tutti 2 position
Viola Tutti 3 position
Cello Tutti 1 position
Double Bass Tutti 2 position
Harp 1 position
1. Eligibility:
＊Have graduated from conservatory or university of Music.
＊The positions of Principal Cello need to have previous orchestral experience.
2. Application Procedure

＊Application deadline: (GMT+8) 23:59 on 9th Feb 2025 or before, late applications will not be accepted.
＊Application method:

The email subject should be: name + position, such as “Peter + 1st violin tutti”
3. Screening
3-1. Pre-Round – Prescreen
Recording the video.
＊Record your performance in one take. The final video must not have any edits.
＊The video must be captured straight from the front of the Applicant and in horizontal format that always displays the Applicant.
＊Capture your performance using the highest available sound quality.
＊The ESO tunes to A1 = 442 Hz. Please use the same tuning.
＊Your audition video can be recorded using a smartphone camera.
* Piano accompaniment for concerto only.
Submitting the video:
＊Upload your complete performance video to YouTube.
＊Please include timestamps that mark the beginnings of each audition piece. (Instructions here: [Insert link to external instructions])
＊Include your name and the timestamp links in the video description.
＊Please make sure that the video is accessible via link without a password. Choose 'Unlisted' as the privacy setting.
＊Include the video link in the application form.
3-2. Live Audition (held for successful applicants of the Pre-Round)
March 3-9, 2025 (*Actual audition date will be communicated via e-mail on February 17, 2025.)
4. Audition Venue: Rehearsal Hall of Evergreen Symphony Orchestra (B1, No. 11, Chung-Shan South Road,Taipei City 10048, Taiwan)
5. Event Notes:
＊All information submitted will be used for audition purpose only, all documents will be kept confidentially and won’t be returned.
＊The live audition will include solo section and an orchestral excerpts section.
＊The orchestra will provide a piano accompanist, but you may bring your own.
＊No copies of repertoire or scores will be available during the live audition, please download them in advance.
＊Applicants should be responsible for his/her expenses for transportation, travel and accommodation.
